I think that Rooney breaking England's goalscoring record may have swayed some as it was around that time.

A lot of players may also have little interest in this and just go for the 'name' players.

Terry I can understand as he was excellent last season. Voting begins in September, he's hardly going to be omitted for a month or less or form. But Rooney is a joke.

Probably all the players doing it for a wind up. A bit like UEFA with that CL 11.

'Yeah, this is our Ultimate Team of the best players to have played in the Champions League. But we aren't going to consider any performances before 2001'.

Come on fellas do you really take any notice of lists like this. Even some of the Real players shouldn`t be anywhere near the list.
