He's a year in year out 20+ league goal striker when fit

He's very underrated

No evidence to support this claim.

playing as a starting striker he:

scored 8 in 12 a bolton
10 in 14 after moving to Liverpool mid season
21 in 29 his first full season at Liverpool

the numbers are there to back it up, the fitness is the only issue

2 goals on his return match to the starting XI this season.

He's a fooking goal scoring machine when he's not broken only bettered by Aguero

Conviently ignoring his record last season and at Chelsea.

The numbers don't back it up. A player that has score 20 league goals once cannot be described as a year in year out 20 goal a season striker with the caveat that he's fit as it's just guesswork, he's never fit long enough to experience a poor run of form, though he had a poor run of form last season.

Very good striker but has only had one class season so calling saying he'll be a 20 goal a season striker is a bit of a stretch, and as I said, there is no evidence to support it.

Chelsea played him in a wide role for a season (still managed 11 in 30 as well) or used him as a sporadic sub when he wasn't on loan.

As a starting striker, the evidence is there.

Apart from last season. So the evidence isn't there.

last season he was perpetually crocked and only in the side sporadically. You're focusing on the exception with exceptional circumstances, not the norm.

The evidence is there.

I'm focussing on the exception?

Him scoring 20 plus IS the exception.
