Players Rating vs Spurs

Another clean sheet !! But obviously disappointed with the result. I thought Hazard won it for us on the volley, but Lloris pulled off an impressive save, as the shot was low and difficult to deal with.Spuuds also had a good chance with Son and equally great save by Begovic. Spurs huffed and puffed for most part of the game and didn't create many clear cut chances. Chelsea sat back and hoping to catch Spurs on the counter attack and I thought we had the better of chances.

Begovic 7 - Pulled off a couple of good saves in the first half. Clattered by Kane and fine save from Son. But in the second he the less busiest keeper. A very good afternoon for him.

Brana 6 - Rose and Eriksen kept him on his toes throughout. But, looked more defensively solid than he has for much of this season. Sat deeper than normal would that allowed him to concentrate on Eriksen and Rose.

Zouma 7 - Didn't put a foot wrong, and looked strong when battling in the air. Stayed alert as Son and Eriksen tried to pull him out of position.

Cahill 7 - One of his best displays for Chelsea this season. Dealt with everything thrown at him and a determined display as Spurs kept knocking at the door.

Dave 6 - Had a couple of nervous moments. Overall maintained his usual level of consistency to hold his own.

Matic 5 - Struggled in most part of the game and too often left pockets of space in front of the Chelsea back four. I think he is not back to when once was a solid presence in the Chelsea midfield.

Fabregas 4 - Far too slow reacting to every pass and ball, caught ball watching several times. He has lost his ability to influence Chelsea games as he once did.

Oscar 6 - Had a few good moments, but other than that he didn't offer much upfront. Though, he looked sharp and focused but unable to provide a killer blow.

Willian 8 - Impressive when going forward, found a plenty of joy down the right, also solid in his defensive duties. Consistent performer, but Spurs were alive to everything he had to offer.

Pedro 6 - Impressed in the first half and showed great understanding with Hazard Found himself in good positions but unable to take advantage, especially in the large part of the second half was anonymous.

Hazard 8 - Thoroughly enjoyed the freedom given to him by his false 9 role. Drifted all over the final third in search of the ball and always looked dangerous when in possession. Should have scored in the first half and forced a fabulous save from Lloris on 67 minutes with his volley.
