Sturridge will start if fit and Can is suspended.

Would like to see how Benteke and Sturridge do up front together. Firmino/Lallana in behind. Also have a sneaky feeling Allen will start with Can out and Henderson still not quite ready.

I would play five up front and a centre half on the half way line, I can't see Newcastle getting into your half so you only need six outfielders.

Obviously I am joking, but as a neutral I have to say how bad I feel that such a great club as Newcastle is in the dire position it is year on year. All Toon fans have my sympathy, but also admiration for sticking with them.

As they say players, coaches officials come and go, Supporters are ALWAYS there. I don't know how you will get out of it but I wish you all the best.

I haven't the foggiest how we will line up! It could well be Origi and Sturridge up front, as it would feel a bit harsh to be dropped after scoring a hat trick in a cup quarter final..... Allen arguably deserves to retain his place after possibly his best performance for us, so maybe Henderson will continue to be eased in....

Didn't Realise Can was sudpended. Move Milner back. Ibe out wide. Sturridge on the bench

Allen played well, looked like the welsh Xavi for once , some quality passes from him, lots of energy.

Can suspended, can see Coutinho not being risked from what Klopp said both big misses to our creative play. Be harsh if Origi and Allen or Ibe are dropped, Firmino might not get back in for the next game as hes been poor since city for me, Milner only in if Hendos not ready too. Tough choices for Klopp despite Coutinho and Can unavailable says a lot really everyones stepping it up.

We are starting to become less reliant on individuals so should be able to make a few changes and keep the squad fresh and the performance level good (hopefully).

Our only real concern is defensively as Toure is out so we are down to the bare bones at centre half and not much better at full back in terms of numbers.

Klopp went with the diamond midweek and will have been impressed with what he saw. I think our players are suited to the diamond with no wingers apart from Ibe. I'd like to see:-

Sturridge, Benteke

Coutinho in if fit of course.

Great thing is that we don't have a clue exactly how we will line up front. Which means Newcastle will have to plan for several players.

We will score as Newcastle have been shocking at the back and we have finally found our shooting boots. Pace and movement has done Newcastle time after time. We need to get their CB's to come wide so our strikers run into channels which will open up space. With that in mind I would play: (Back 5 picks itself)

Ibe/Lallana
Firmino Sturridge

Let Ibe float like ge has been doing. Pick up the ball left/right/center and run at players. Plus the three upfront with Milner and Hendo can provide great pressing pressure

We have to thank Rodgers for not signing Bony. He's awful.

Man City are soft and mentally weak. Bony is poor signing. Sterling is struggling. Their defence is all over the place and very shaky. Midfield without Silva is not creative. Toure is too old. Aguero is injury prone.

So I can't see them winning the title when regularly losing to Stoke and other physical teams.
