Even i still felt top 4 was realistic, even more so after Spurs, West Ham, City, United all dropped points, but then we go and lose to Bournemouth @ home. I'll concede that was pretty much the final nail in the coffin, especially if Pool win today which they probably will.
I don't have a clue what the problem is, managers/players/style of play/just simply found out, i honestly don't know there's no single thing you can put your finger on, we talk about the dressing room but we looked up for it against Spurs and should have won, so that would indicate he hasn't lost the dressing room unless we just got pumped because it was a big game.
I think everyone's at blame in some way or another, Drogba was such a huge loss too in that dressing room
If i was Jose i'd just say to Roman look no matter who you bring in we aint getting top 4, so forget about the league, let us finish below 7th to avoid Europa league and we'll go all out to win the CL and i'll sort this $hit out in the summer if you back me.
Anyway though is it time to get sneaky and lose mid-week so we go out the CL and then drop into Europa as we have a better chance of winning europa than CL? Problem is cheaters never prosper
Either way we've got to have an eye on next season now, mainly on using youth & hopefully avoid Europa so we have a free run at the league next season. If Roman told Jose that this season is a write-off and just to forget it and he's safe and he'll be backed in the summer i firmly believe Jose would play a lot more youth.
Either way Jose needs to look at a style revamp too, this 4-2-3-1 is fkin $hit and we've been completely found out this season. And just do what he's gotta do, couldn't care less about these " flair " players, seen more flair in
Milner than Oscar, disgraceful that he's even wearing the #8 shirt, Ivanovic needs to go in the summer we've already fked up by giving Gary Cahill a 4 year contract.
Is it time to be sneaky/underhand?

Our own fault for sending out so many younger players on loan who would've made a difference, but I doubt Jose would've played Baker, Solanke, Kalas or Christensen because he doesn't trust youngsters.
We will probably get beat by Porto and then bomb out of the Europa. Jose looks mentally worn out every time he's on the sideline or in an interview.

Why do you have such unjustified faith in our younger players? Why do you believe so strongly they would have made a difference?? Have Kennedy or Traore changed games when they've played?
I just do not understand this absolute must and desire to play youth, it's like fans want to see youth played even if they're not good enough!!
The problem is so many people would rather see us pushing youth and have ANY of our current youth squad done anything for us when played?
I agree the team is dire but youth is not the answer just as much as buying more players in January...
The whole situation is a complete and utter shambles that adding a lot of inexperience to the current team is only going to make it worse IMO.

I will not concede top 4 yet (given we didn't really lose much ground yesterday). 9 points out of 9 in our next 3 games is imperative though, starting at Leicester. If we do not win those 3 games then I will lose hope of top 4.

People like youth because they're hungry to succeed and hungry to play and do well.

As I am also expecting Spurs to take 9 points out of 9 in their next three games, you will still be the same amount of points behind Spurs who are not even in the Top Four.

P!sses me off that Liverpool now also look dropping points, United, West Ham, City, Spurs and Liverpool and once again we don't take fkin advantage cos we can't beat bournemouth at home.
So fkin frustrating

I saw the signs with Bournemouth i.e. coming back against Everton from 0-2 down and a creditable draw against Swansea. A scraped win against faltering Norwich, a win against 10 man pointless tel Aviv and a London derby made you think you'd turned the corner. i said you hadn't and you won't. Things at Chelsea will never be so confident again because you'll all remember this for a long time to come.

So true DGC
The worst thing is I thought we'd beat Bournemouth and after we lost I just know that this season is going to continue like this.
Is bet my house on us obtaining a maximum of 3 points out of the next 3 games, if we get more I'll be shocked and if we get the full 9 then I'll be dreaming and someone will need to wake me up
