Drastically wrong?
And that this wasn't going to fix anytime soon?
I have to say it was the Palace game, I was surprised we lost that as I fully expected after the average performance against Swansea, the inevitable smashing by City and then the hard fought win at West Brom that I was expecting us to be back at the bridge, put a decent shift in and get our season started.
When we lost that I realised something wasn't right....
Not a lot has changed really has it?
What game did you realise something was

Then Brummie we were playing a bit like a better version of United currently, we were organised, stayed in the games and got the results nessesery.
This season is a lot different, we are looking awful all over the pitch and are a mess as as unit, where as last season we weren't.
Although now Tibo is back, he will be bailing us out like De Gea does for United.

Sorry Kings, for me we were every bit as bad last season, except for Hazard pulling the rabbit out the hat.
Suppose it helped that the defence were a little more water tight last season but going forward we haven't a clue.

The Southampton game. After that point it stopped being a bad start and it became a bad season.

To me Saturday was strangely a defining moment. Until recently we had been playing badly and just looked like we couldn't give a fack but would be able to turn it once the complacency was fully shaken off, but Saturday was disturbing for the fact that you could see that the players badly wanted and tried to win but just couldn't. Also the reactions of players like Willian when then they scored was just shock and disbelief.
I thought we slaughtered Bournemouth on Saturday for possession but in front of goal we had no cutting edge and it was always gna come back and bite us in the harris, and it did.

That's our problem 69, we can pass it around all day long in central midfield but try and penetrate the box at the business end and we look clueless

Agreed Brum
We don't seem to get behind teams or get enough quality crosses in from out wide and when we do get a decent cross in (rarely from Ivanovic) there is no centre forward advanced enough to get on the end of it. Our attack is frankly powderpuff.
We seem as if we keep wanting to try and pass our way through a congested penalty area and score with a million passes.

agree guys, I dont think the players are use to playing quick snappy passes due to being a countering team since mourinho got here, and for that reasonw e cannot create any meaningful chances. Like I keep saying bournemouth had one less shot on target then us at the weekend, for all our possesion. So poor. First half I nearly fell asleep...in the ground!
Due to the way we play our only option is to get it wide but mourinhos relucantance to start a decent striker, and playing ivanovic whose the worst footballer in the premier league at rb kills that. 41 crosses we attempted on saturday and no goals.
