Burnley aven't won since they beat the Fools five games ago. The Superoops on the other and aven't conceded more than one goal since mid October. A team on the way up and one on the way down. I just ope our new manager goes for the throat on Saturday and doesn't settle for a draw like is predecessor.

Supporters just support, so it's not surprising that we are only now being informed Jim got the job over eleven other applicants. Les must ave interviewed them all and decided Jim was the most appropriate candidate. Hasslebaink as a chance to repay Les's judgement on Saturday with is approach to what is a very difficult game.

Looking around other R's forums it seems people are a tad confused as to what starting line Jim will employ today. I would ave fort it was obvious, the one that Les tells im to field.

It's difficult to comment on a scoreless draw. You could say we didn't get beat and we didn't concede. Burnley were no mugs but we were at ome. Are we serious about a play-off place ? I think our line up spoke volumes, Henry back and no striker. It seems to me we're just the same as we were under Chris Ramsey.

Looked a really well balanced team tonight, RR! Phillips on the right who I always rated and Hoillett OK the left looking more like the player at Blackburn. Sandro in midfield. A top class Austin...keep him in Jan and you'll surely have a play off place.

A better performance all round the pitch last night. We need to do that more often. I'm yet to be convinced the Les/Jim partnership is capable, though time will tell. Drawing our ome matches whoever the opposition is won't get us a play-off place.

It's only jimmy's second game in charge and it's a much improved performance. 2 down to the league leaders and to come back for a point, could've been 3, stands you well in good stead for the play-off. Think you're on the up. Good team to watch.

Your optimism is very refreshing and shame on me for aving doubts. I'm now beginning to sound like an old scratched record, but i don't see the manager as the problem. It's the interference from the director.

I haven't seen some of those players play for a couple of years but damn that sounds like a half decent setup for a premiership team let alone a championship one!

Just an afterthought, do we need a director of football ? We are a tin pot club who struggles to get 16 thou for a ome game. The Brighton attendance was fifteen and a alf thousand. Brighton brought three thou so i dread to think what it would ave been if we ad played a lesser club. When we eventually get a new ground and are pulling in thirty thou, then by all means lets ave a director of football. But until then the director is surplus to requirements.

I keep earing we ave the best squad in the Championship but where are the results ? It's not rocket science, you ave to look at who's organizing them.
