A follow on from the previous article. And spoilers if you didn't stay up...
Wow!!!
Joshua does the business.. takes a heavy shot second round due to opening up and thinking he had the job done. Goes back to his boxing after a tough minute being rocked to pummel Whyte into a KO. Bearing in mind Whyte had never been dropped in his kickboxing or boxing career nevermind KO'd.
And then McGregor. Literally one punch KO.. did not see that coming. Neither did Aldo apparently and the title fight prior to it was class too..
Chris Weidman on a missed kick:
"Probably not the smartest move"
Think your face agrees
Tonight definitely lived up to it's billing

"Highlighted by that snidey punch to the boy's head when he's lying barely conscious."
They all do it, nothing snidey about it. Can't believe Aldo left himself so open to that punch.

McGregor knew he could counter Aldo's right, and he did.. just earlier than he thought he would.
Aldo was over eager too, probably felt he had something to prove after McGregor challenged his legitimacy with him being so inactive.
Perfect cocktail for McGregor.

Papa if the ref didn't stop the fight (happened so fast that some might not have straight away) you don't want your opponent recovering and getting back up. Accepted part of the sport

Aye that's all fair and well and the millions of fanatics can't be wrong.
But for me it's unnecessarily brutal and say what you will, that punch was snidey - even if 'everybody does it'

If one person done it, it would be snidey. When everyone does it, it par for the course. I agree with you though, it's a fkn brutal sport.

Agree papa, I am not a fan either, you would be as well giving them a couple of baseball bats

Would you rather get punched 200+ times in a boxing match or 20 times or less in a mma fight. I'd say getting punched 200 times is more brutal
