Jeezo. It's hard to stay positive at the moment and it's even harder to see where a goal is coming from. I honestly think we could have still been playing now and wouldn't have scored.

And the kicker is that Partick were dreadful and offered absolutely nothing going forward. They were looking for the draw and somehow managed to score with virtually their only attack of the game. Poor marking, a swivel and shot that may well have been saveable but ultimately nestled in the net (not the corner of the net though).

The first half was dreadful and there is literally nothing I can say about it, other than express my disappointment that Sinama-Pongolle had to go off with a hamstring strain after 10 minutes. I suspect that's him out for 4-6 weeks now. Not what we needed. Hopefully Demel, who signalled to the bench to take him off, is ok for next week as I thought he looked ok. And that ladies and gentlemen is the problem with signing players in November who haven't been playing.

The second half we tried to equalise but ultimately it wasn't happening. We didn't create many clear cut chances, but had a decent amount of pressure. As much as I'm not a huge fan, Erskine did well when he came on and hopefully he'll make a difference in the weeks ahead. He certainly did more than Telfer, the sub who was subbed, and again I'm disappointed with him. Although not nearly as disappointed as I continue to be with John Souttar, who is starting to really wind me up with his mediocre performances. He looks like he doesn't want to be here anymore and the sooner he's out the door the better. A lazy, useless waste of space.

We won't however be helped by Kuhl or Taggart - both have been sent back to their parent club as far as I'm aware. Kuhl certainly confirmed that last night on Twitter.

Inverness away next week. Great....

I think he needs this januarys transfer window and the summers to try and sort that

Like you say you need someone whos going to hurt teams and create for you .

Plenty of players about -
Dundee have Stewart , Harkins
Aberdeen have Mcginn , Hayes
ICT have Christie ( for now) , Vigurs
Hearts - Juanma, Nicholson
etc

All players i would cater for when playing against those teams , I dont see those types at United just now

The Dundee derbies should be interesting next season with both teams likely fighting relegation again. Dumbarton and Livi will surely have improved by then though so it will be a tough ask to stay up.

That's it officially announced that Taggart and Kuhl have returned to their parent clubs.

His poor mammy had obviously booked a nice little cottage to come and see her son over Christmas but had to rearrange once he got the boot:

Is that the Sinama-Pongolle who won the CL with Liverpool?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes.

7returns - totally agree. Only McGowan has any kind of "nasty" streak in him. And even then he was nearly fighting with Durnan on Saturday rather than the opponents.

How the hell did he end up in Dundee?
