Just wondering whether Wenger has conceded that we just are not as good currently as Barcelona and could do with a switch back to 4-4-2.
As we have the back 4 sorted we could have Gervinho - Wilshere - Song - AOC in MF, and RVP with Park, Chamakh, Walcott or Arshavin up front. Santos or Gibbs could cover LM, Grevinho, Walcott, AOC at RM, with Ramsey, Frimpong & Coquelin in CM. We could have a more solid team overall.
Any thoughts?
Will we be going back to 4-4-2 ?

it does seem so to me.
it looks like with the signings we've made, we're switching back to the former wenger approach, and we now have the players for it -
one steady, defence-minded full-back (lauren - sagna); one attacking full-back (cole - santos); one fast-paced winger who gets in behind the defence (ljungberg - walcott); one winger who cuts in and creates space for the full-back (pires - gervinho) and two deep-lying midfielders who take in turns to attack (vieira and gilberto - song and wilshere).
the only difference will be the attack, seeing as we don't have a forward of the same quality as henry and bergkamp.

the other 4-4-2 did not exist when I was writing mine - apologies for co oincidence!
