Porto, Titles and CL with little money

Came in to a team already built and left after two years.

Porto hadnt won the title for 3 years and had just had their lowest finish for years when Jose took over.

That team was not already built it was falling apart.

Inter were in a one horse race with AC and juve getting done for match fixing etc

and he came 2nd twice out of 3 in a 2 horse race in Spain with galacticos

Its a little different spending money when you get rid of most of your team (rio vidic evra nani rvp chicha etc) and rebuild from scratch and when you have teh likes of what RM and inter had and even Porto (whose squad wasnt bad when JM took over)

THAT was kind of my point. Jose would be perfect for City to take them that next step ie the CL but not at rebuilding ala UTD

Think you confused yourself lad, I gave JM the credit I think he deserves, ie short term, ready made team, few adjustments plenty of money and voila

Look back and see I said he would be brilliant for City who are in the Inter/RM type of place especially in CL. I reckon Jose would win it within 2 years. Then go as is his MO

obviously we are going through a torrid time and this is joses worst managerial year to boot, but LVG cracks me up, he comes across as one of the stupidest people i've seen and his interviews are a joke. he seems like he's just been released from a ward.
