Christmas #1

Can Leicester City really be top at Christmas 2015 having been bottom of the league at the same stage last year? We're one game off an absolutely outstanding achievement.

With Arsenal hosting Man City someone is going to drop points and a draw would be enough for us to be top of the Premier League at Christmas, no matter what happens in our game. If the weekends results go for us we could be sitting very pretty.

If Arsenal v City, United v Norwich, Stoke v Palace, Swansea v West Ham and Southampton v Spurs, all draw and Watford beat Liverpool, the table could look like this;

1st Leicester 35/36/38 pts
2nd Arsenal 34 pts
3rd Man City 33 pts
4th Man Utd 30 pts
5th Spurs 27 pts
6th Watford 27 pts

What a lovely Christmas present that would make ho ho ho ⛄️⛄️⛄️

Of course Arsenal could beat City, we could fail to win at Everton, United could beat Norwich, Spurs could beat Southampton and Watford could lose to Liverpool but this is the season for Christmas miracles isn't it? 😃

No way Wasi, will play I don't think Claudio fancies him. Benny will play, and I wouldn't say Lukakau is inconsistent at all, he has 50 Premier League goals in under 3 seasons in England. pretty good going really.

The team will especially want to stop Lukaku to protect Vardy's record.

True Blue Man Utd also wanted to protect RVN but that didn't turn out very well

arro – Lukaku's scoring with incredible frequency – imagine how good he'd be if he were consistent with it...

If Benalouane gets the nod over Wasi, I'd say he's far more likely to get carded. Don't remember Wasi ever picking up a red?

Was never has had a red with us but there's always the first time

I think it was Joby who commented a few months ago, that if Benny played at RB, he was scared that he might eat his winger! Made me chuckle. We all like a hard as nails defender – as long as they don't get sent off obviously.

I think that Wasi just being on the pitch is as effective as a couple of 'reducers, early doors' (as a certain gold bedecked, overtanned, overrated, manager-pundit was fond of saying).

Yeah don't get me wrong he is definitely in form and if he is a great player on his day, but his days have been infrequent. However I could concede that maybe he's found consistency but I'm hoping not 😉

Yeah I guess Benny will play but I kind of think it would be sensible to play two centre halves that understand each other.

It's a pretty important position and players need to be in sync otherwise you end up like Newcastle.
