If Frank Lampard did write to Roman Abramovich as some papers report, He apparently had some wise words and advice about keeping Jose Mourinho as our manager...
"They are probably not going to make the top four anyway or the top six. They're not going to get relegated I think if we are honest so I'm sure there's a view from Roman Abramovich to say, 'Hang on, let's see what happens at the end of the season'.
"Why make a rash change that can't really affect the year that much and then see where we are at the end of the year."
lets hope Jose will be ruthless enough to drop anyone who is not wholly committed to the club both against Sunderland and for the rest of the season.

these are comments Super Frank made after the match on Monday night

I also saw Frank saying that on Monday night football after the Leicester game and I totally agree with him.
A new manager can't really affect the season anyway. Top four is gone now and we're obviously not winning the CL either this season so the only significant thing for another manager to do this season would be avoid relegation which we will do under Jose.
I think that our chances of getting relegated actually increase under an interim manager so the club need to be very careful in any decision to get rid of Jose as things can always get worse.

New manager could save relegation. Lose to sunderland, which unless we play remy and kenedy, is near certain, and we will be really in it.

Nick a new manager could avoid the prospect of relegation but on the flip side could also make things worse.
Let's say we bring in an interim and he loses his first two games in charge the team could lose even more confidence and the pressure on the players would be ramped up a notch or two higher than it already is.
We'd then be on a downward spiral with things going from bad to worse especially as this group of players don't seem to be the most mentally tough lot we've had at the club by any stretch of the imagination.

We are never getting relegated, Mourinho or not

Sorry Superb but it cant get any worse, if on the next game Jose names more or less the same squad as previous weeks he needs to be fired on the spot.
This season he has been a hypocrite of the biggest order, he continues to blame the players yets picks the same players. On paper we lack depth but lets be honest Kennedy, Check, Rambo, Remy, and heck even Mikel cannot play worse than Costa, Pedro, Oscar, or Cesc. The only one i dont want to see is baba.

of course not, but we keep playing the same way and same players we could get dragged VERY close. . I just have no hope atm. Can EASILY see sunderland picking up points this weekend.

You really think this team can be under any more pressure? I dont think a change of manager would make a difference.

Simon what you got against baba? I've been pretty impressed bar the stoke game(very impressed offensively, average defensively(no worse than ivan or azpi)) and against stoke it was shaqiri who has been tearing teams apart all year.
Also pedro has been very good the last few games imo

He has started in over half a dozen games and in everyone apart from patches he has been dreadful. And agree ok going forward, been torn a new one when ever defending, which playing right back for the champions your defending needs to be up to scratch.
Ivan in his last few games has got a bit of consitancy back and dave has always been 100 times better than baba.
Pedro although ok does little, except his first game for us he has created nothing, all i can say is thank god for Willian.
