I know it's not the best time to bring up such a topic, but hey...when is?
It's another sad day @ the Bridge because of the sacking of Jose, the greatest Manager ever to grace the Bridge since its inception, however, irrespective of his legendary status, he had and still has his shortcomings.
I am not going to bore you all by writing an epistle about his shortcomings, rather I'm going to hit the nail @ the head!
I remember last season, when Mata was sold, I lamented on this forum, how Jose was making the biggest mistake, by letting such a talented player leave.
I was called all sorts of names by the ' Jose Zombies', who intentionally or unintentionally turned blind eyes to his mistakes.
It was argued that Oscar was the man to take over the mantle of 'creativity' from Mata in the No. 10 role.
Fast forward a season later, even though we somehow won the league, Oscar still looked confused on what to do in the middle.
I know this topic is somehow unrelated to the events that led to the sacking of Jose, but the reason I dug up this topic from the grave, is simply because Jose's ego got the better of him, which inevitably led to his downfall.
He had made a lot of terrible decisions, which have been obviously wrong, but for some reason, he wouldn't change.
Is it the constant playing of Ivanovic @ RB, the unwillingness to play Hazard in his fav position (through the middle, even after the player himself had suggested they tried it for a run of games), the Eva saga? I mean...the list goes on and on.
I still maintain though, if Mata wasn't marginalized and eventually sold by Jose, there wouldn't be a Fabregas, who is finding it hard to track back...the same deficiency in Mata's game, according to Jose.
In summary Jose's stubbornness, ego, and lack of respect ultimately led to his downfall.
Let this be a lesson to all, and for all you 'Jose Zombies'...I really don't know what to say to you all.
Vindicated after all?

Top OP mate,and accurate.
Mata was our best player, so Jose binned him, and now Hazard was in his sights.......he wanted all glory, and hated players taking his spotlight, imo.
Also, his father is sick, as I found out just now, so he may not be in a good place to manage,on a personal level?

No disrespect to Jose, but his father's health has absolutely nothing to do with his shortcomings, which led to his sack.
Are we going to blame his treatment of Eva on his father's health?
The bad decisions, the verbal attacks or the stubbornness to play Azpi where he naturally plays?

His father was ill earlier in the year and is currently recovering well?
