Captain Cook

What's the point in making Cook captain to give him experience as captain and then dropping him?

I'm only miffed because I am a Cook fan!

They haven't dropped him, Cook is captain of the ODI team, not the T20. He hasn't been dropped as he never gets picked for T20.

This is T20 mate. Cook is far too good a player to play this utter rubbish. My god i can not stand this format. Get rid?

could not agree with you more maksi, i miss the days where an opener could bat all day and only make 50, and that would be considered a good days work.

am i alone in that?

Know what you mean Know-it-all! I hate this slam-bam stuff - and don't get me started on that ridiculous 'one-over decides the winner' stuff what a load of rubbish!! Its trying to emulate football and cricket is nothing LIKE football.
I really couldn't have cared one iota on the result yesterday but still sat glued to it?! I would have actually liked India to win it because of that stupid wide that Rob Bailey called! But all in all, its an atrocious game....
Unfortunately the powers-that-be have decided that auctioning out test matches to the highest bidder is the way to do things. Which i also detest because living in the North it appears that Lancs and Yorks can't afford them! So its watch 'em all on SKY at present for me....

DR very true! one over decider, and the bowl out if weather makes it difficult for a result to be obtained.. Ofcourse i like my country to win at every form of the game..But ODI'S an 20/20 just isn't cricket if you excuse the pun.. Cracking a 35 ball 50 or getting 700 and your main batsmen having time to build an innings,I know which i prefer. I like seeing 4s and 6s hit..But your expecting it to happen in one day cricket. Its the anticipation of when it will happen in test matches.Ie 5 balls on a good length and left alone by the batsman.. Then suddenly the ball is slighly off length and bang its driven to the boundry. Unlike odis when the batsman swings himself of his feet trying to wack it as far as he can...

It must be new to have a one over decider in these international games, they used to end in a tie and that was the final result.
In a semi final of a competition having a winner is necessary but not in these kind of games. Fortunately it didn't come to that.

i think that my main problem with 2020 - there no innings building.

plus thereás no time for the tension to mount up.

plus it makes all the kids refuse to use any technique when youre trying to coach them.
