Yes he has been decent of late but I just feel he is not ready for this type of game.
The question will be whether Wenger risks playing Sanchez or not or go with Ox, who regards of his form, may provide a bit more experience on the flanks.
With Silva playing, he will probably get freedom of the land with no Coq playing so will have ambles of time to release the likes of Sterling and KDB and I just think the Campbell and Bellerin partnership will struggle to cope with City.
If Sanchez starts then we will probably have Theo on the other flank but if Sanchez doesn't then I would go with Ox.
Yes he looks out of form but he usually plays pretty will in the bigger games and I genuinely think he will have a point to prove.
This will be exactly the type of game which will highlight our DM weakness. Coq and Cazorla had developed a solid game defensively and offensively but with Ramsey bombing forward at every attack and Flamini just not being very good, im concerned with the pockets and space Silva will pick up.
Wouldn't start Campbell on Monday!

Oops, my bad. He's been on loan everywhere. Either way he's been kept out of of Lewin's hands and what do you know, it appears he's not injury prone. Just like all our other players Lewin never got his hands on when they were young. What a coincidence ay?

I would play Campbell. He is working better defensively than the Ox.
I would play Theo instead of Giroud upfront for this game.

One thing that stands out hugely is how fluid passing has become again, since Campbell came into the side. As someone said, he keeps it simple (possibly because he knows his limitations). He also plays better with Giroud (only Theo does it better) since just like Ramsey, Wilshere and Rosicky, Campbell knows/remembers that HE has to do the running for Giroud. Noticed how Giroud doesn't get isolated much anymore? It's because Campbell is always giving him an out ball.
A circumstance that I noticed from the beginning on. Giroud needs the ball in front of the goal in the box to keep the defenders busy. Spot on Wenger'sBodyguard

Would be mental to drop JC for Ox. What message does that send to the younger and fringe players in the squad?

Campbell offers much more than the OX in his complete game, his effort along with his skill which is evidently there and improving every game should not be cut short at this stage. He deserves to be playing, the OX for me is bench and photograph material at the moment.

Campbell's star is in the ascendant, he has the wind in his sails far more than the Ox and my money is on him to excel, and help us sail onwards.

Glad Castor isn't the manager, he would not only make daft selections but he'd also drain all positivity and motivation from the players, he'd get Barca playing like Chelsea.

With Joel Campbell you get a good balance from width. On one side Walcott makes the runs in behind and stays forward, on other Joel Campbell provides defensive support and links the play up nicely.
Ox needs to step it up because he can offer us much more.

Yes, very well. I confess I don't contribute to the boards that much as like so many boards it gets swamped by ridiculous and endless banter. I like however the Wenger in/Wenger out debate, and for the record I have always been a Wenger in.
