Ayew And Better Second Half !!

Well a hard earned deserved point but soo much better to watch in the second half. Ayew was absolutely fantastic along with his goal, and we actually looked a threat for the first time in many a while. A point probably is not enough with the way other results fell today but finally a few positives, and if all the players would start giving the effort Ayew does during matches we might actually get a few wins before the season ends !!

I dont think you can say we were playing for a point with the second half performance, we had a right go and unfortunately that will leave you open to giving up chances to the opposition. We are going to have to play that way if we stand any chance of getting any results. Agree on Sanchez but it was tough for all the players in those awful conditions.

Effort was there second half the players are good enough on their day......have to show it week in week out and they haven't. Results are against us whatever we do it seems but happier seeing that than in a while.

Todays results were against us but it'll even out over time; Norwich aren't going to face soft opponents every week like MU. I actually feel sorry for MU fans.

What matters is putting in competitive performances, and we had that today. I feel a hell of a lot better going into the next three games than if we'd lost.

Can't understand why, when Villa equalised, Garde didnt take off Westwood or Sanchez and stick Traore on.

1pt isnt worth the bother. Had he brought Traore on at that moment Villa could have won the game 1-3

(Interesting to see that Bournemouth stuck on a forward for a midfielder when WBA equalised. It pays dividends to attack at moments like that. Garde got it wrong).

He didn't because having brought Gestede on he thought we'd keep up the pressure better with the existing players, obviously. And who's to say he was wrong? Gestede came close two or three times.
