Maybe Schneiderlin and Herrera could become a very dynamic pair.

they had one very good season, but Harvreaves also some of it in different positions if I remember correctly. What a shame Owen has so many injury problems.

Anyway, Carrick has been awful this season, his lack of pace is really an issue in a two man midfield, as is Mata's.

Time for a revamp of the senior players I think.

Football at the highest levels stopped being about first 11's about 20 years ago. If you haven't got players in the squad ready to step up then that is a scouting/managing/coaching issue.
The midfield is a total shambles without any pace or dynamism bar herrera,depay is only any use down the middle as he is too lazy wide. Rooney/mata/fellaini/carrick/basti all need replacing asap and without a schneiderlin/herrera midfiled this team is mid-table at best.Shocking to think that we were far better off with fletcher and cleverley,nani,van persie and hernandez than mata,rooney,fellaini,depay and basti.

I believe they played together when we won 1-0 at Anfield, and both were absolutely fantastic. How I long for a fully fit Hargreaves and Ando (he'd need to be able to score as well)
