Many reports today are heavily linking us with another 2 players from the French league. Is this really the route we should be going down after the somewhat failings of the summer french incomings ?? I trust Garde and said before i am sure he has good contacts and knows good players. However although we may already be doomed to the drop, i dont see the point of risking bringing in more untested players that will ultimately take time to adjust to the premiership and then probably be sold in the summer if we get relegated on some sort of release clause. We really need to have some stability in players staying and building a team whether we go down or not !!

I agree on Naismith, he always seems to get on the scoresheet but reckon he will go to Norwich The fact that Alex Neil is manager will see him go there. I think its going to be hard to get certain players to join. We might have the rich history and fantastic training ground and Villa Park but the fact is we look doomed for the drop and i think you cant fault players for looking at that ..

Not sure that Norwich are really any more attractive than us. OK with recent results they've managed to climb the table a bit, but although Neil is a decent manager their squad isn't great, and they could yet end up in trouble.

I know Toulalan well, he was one of the few French players who came out of the 2010 World Cup with some respect. He would do it in any league and would be good signing. He could be like Cambiasso.

Surprised if Gill goes, liked his creative touches and he seemed more mature than Grealish. But maybe he doesn't fit in with Garde's overall style.
Seems Cole is off to America, so maybe it will be Bennett or Cissokho at LB. Wonder if they're match fit though.
