The red chair

A few years ago I was made redundant. I can remember the second time I visited the dole office, and being told off for sitting on the wrong coloured chair(red for new comers, green for repeat offenders). I never forgotten that, because that was my ‘rock bottom’, that was when I realised I could not go any lower and if I pushed hard enough I could get back to the surface and survive. Now times are good, and as we enter Christmas 2015 I hope my beloved Bolton has reached their Red chair, that we will push on upwards, and that the positives begin to outnumber the negatives.
