It looks like spending actual cash on players won't happen. Who do we think will come in and who would we like? After looking at some of the loan deals going through elsewhere in the championship I worry that we are even missing this boat

Whoever SG has his eye on, it will probably be a drawn out affair bringing them in. Which means we run the risk
of missing out again.
Is there a plan behind all this?
On the bright side, this means Nunez, Lees, Clayton,
and White will be playing a lot. So, we do have that
silver lining. Maybe that's our plan: build on our own youth? No idea.

Keogh on a permanent maybe if Paynter leaves
Might try to buy Watt if we can't get a better player
Only deals I can see happening

People are too down on loans. If they come off they can be season changers...look at Gradel.
I'd rather loan a good Prem player than buy a mid Championship player.

Trouble is, we haven't had a lot of luck so far with the Prem loanees, outside of Lichaj. Maybe that'll change?

Lichaj, Gradel, Watt was promising but didn't play too much and Keogh who's doing quite well
But so many bad ones Dickinson, Trundle, McCartney,.... do I need to go on??
1-2 loans ok but not more.. We need a LB, CB, CM and arguably a RB if Lees is gonna be playing in the middle. We cannot get 4 players in on loan! LB has been a problem for us for over 3 years now! It's time to get someone in PERMANENTLY!
And sorry but I don't understand why we want to sign Forssell! I'd rather have us sign Keogh on a permanent than having a 5th choice striker à la Mike Grella. We haven't got a decent CB pairing but we need a 5th striker??

Was anyone seriously expecting us to spend some cash?
Of course it will be loanees, lets just hope we get the right players for the right areas, sick of watching round pegs in square holes down there.
Grayson needs to get a grip!
