Loosing Petr Cech was

The straw that broke the camels back and possibly handed the title to AFC.

Loosing his authority in defence and in the squad in general imo was the tipping point.

This squad is - the spine and leaders we have relied upon in the past.

That imo was what has led to this feeble minded woeful group to insurrection against the manager.

And we all know who sanctioned that little deal

Agree that cechs influence was probably a big one at the club even whilst not getting games last year. I imagine thats one of the reasons we could be seeing more of Didier too. Theres been a lack of grit and determination i feel in our Current team. Thats why bringing through younger players from the academy maybe the key to establishing more continuity and loyalty at cfc. i do think that loyalty and continuity will be a big issue for the club, especially in the wake of this years fiasco.

Most of you guys were screaming good riddance after the first game of the season shambles vs West Ham.
Hindsight is a beautiful thing.

On a serious note, have to agree with Ifarka, you guys have lost a lot of influence and mental strength with a few players leaving over the past few years, Drog, Lamps, Cech etc but its strange that this didn't have much of a negative impact last season, and with the league win, you'd have thought the mental strength would continue in this current crop of players

Wtf are you on? Most of us would never say good riddance. Fact isCech has been playing in London since 2005 and suddenly he's been discovered by Wenger and his disciples ie you tell us he's a top keeper. Just wow

Hasn't affected us....has affected the Goonz hugely...in that they've actually got a talented keeper

No...Begovic was a more than able deputy in TC's Injury absence...unless you think Cech was going to be solely responsible for sorting out our shat this term....because I'd doubt it

Czech was ALWAYS going to be a loss, people who were trying to brush it off at the start of the season were always kidding themselves.

Let's hope Courtois grows some balls and starts to up his game....

Sherriff, , you seem to have misunderstood what i have been saying for some reason.

I clearly have stated that the loss we have suffered with loosing Cech is in the spine and squad.

For some reason you seem to be stuck on the point i would suggest Courtois is a poor replacement for Cech,

Which is something i have never suggested but you seem to think i have

Last season we have Drogba, Cech and Terry in the dressing room, J.t marginalised his position with his fraternisation with the doc, Drogba and Cech left the squad , leaving this abysmal bunch of cretins to rebel.

Thats my point , i hope you get it ,

Seasonal greetings
