So it's the morning after and I thought I would wait until this morning to post........
Mainly as I have just got enjoyed a cracking night catching up with old friends in Liverpool, you have got to love the Scouse humour. Banging head this morning but let's see if this post makes sense !!!
Firstly we have to magananimous in defeat, we were beaten by the better side. They wanted it more, their passing was crisper - decisive. Their defence nullified any potential threat that we had and therefore fully deserved the win.
We were missing that last 10% that had made us Leicester Cuty table toppers this season and it just shows that if we drop below those high levels of performance at any time we will get nothing.
From the very start of the game it looked like we didn't believe we could win, apart from the god that is Kante we were second best all over the park.
I fully expect Claudio to have a fresh attitude amongst the players ready for Tuesday night, 5% short and we will get shafted.
I for one expect Inler to start instead of King but no other changes.
Now let me move into some comments I have read on here since the defeat yesterday,
1) A lot of supporters of other clubs think we are lucky, shite etc and don't deserve to be where we are. But then those same supporters think their team is the best thing since bread when they beat our " lucky, shite" team. Fickle or what?
2) is this season the weirdest season ever? Love it..... Wish they were all like this.
3) I have even read that we are too of the league through being lucky and getting the rub of all the decisions. That is completely disrespectful to our players and complete bull****.
4) January transfer window - in my eyes go for it. I completely trust Claudio to only bring in players that can improve our squad and not fracture our team spirit.
So now we move onto the next run of games having lost once in December ( so far ) when the majority of opposition fans looked at our fixture list and predicted we would be lucky to get 3 points through the month.
I do find the criticism and doubt funny though because whoever comments needs to look closer to home as we have out performed their team up until now 😃
Maybe they don't want to admit that little old Leicester have only lost twice, failed to score once so far this season and look down the table at everybody else. It will not last but I am enjoying it while I can.
I still say that finishing Top 10 would be a successful season for us, I think we can push for a European place but if we fall short then let's enjoy the ride.
I wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope we have an enjoyable second half of the season.

Moving Forward.....

Sorry Tommy, I'm not classing us ad title contenders, I meant we lose a game and all of a sudden we're falling out of the top six but when City and Arsenal lose its just a loss.
City and Arsenal are both struggling with weakened squads. Arsenal have to play with the same players in every game now, no freshening up for them. They're all really concerned so they're in a worse position than us and their bench was shocking at Southampton.

And they wont sign anyone, Wenger never does!

For Me DD is as key as anyone one Kante steels it DD sends it King is what king is a premier league squad player to get the best him he needs to be playing in the hole.
Like you my mucker foxy living the dream i can't believe that i am disappointing by losing away at Liverpool but thats how far we have come.
As for Mank City or Bournmouth i'm more worried about the later and at least we don't have Alan bloody Clarke we have Vardy.

Drinky runs our midfield and when he plays well we play well. I agree with Nev about his and Kante's roles and Vardy loses out when he doesn't play because its so often Drinky playing the balls in behind or the little through balls! He's a massive loss but for most games we could cope with King.

Drinky is great but I don't think it would have made the difference yesterday. We scored 3 against Everton away without him.
Drinky doesn't like being pressed, he had a shocker against Bournemouth when they employed the same tactics Liverpool did. He needs time on the ball to dictate the tempo and he wouldn't have had that yesterday.
I just think that if you press Leicester and cut off the wide men, then teams can deal with us very well. I just hope not too many teams will do the same

Spurs might be that's it! The high pressing is what Klopp is trying to get them to play and they have found success on the few occasions they have played well. Only Spurs play that way normally.

We scored two penalties without him but didn't keep the ball well at all. Maybe he wouldn't have liked playing Liverpool but we definitely keep the ball better and Vardy has more opportunities to get behind with him playing.

Bournemouth play a very pressing game as well. I would prefer not to play them after City but it's going to be much easier at the KP hopefully.
Vardy sounds like he won't be fit tomorrow
