I hear and see constantly about how the PL is the best league yet the evidence does not support this
Our European performances should speak volumes yet we blindly ignore the truth
Our over paid, primma donna footballers are not coached as well as some clubs overseas
Spanish Clubs dominate in Europe and have internationally for a long period yet we are the best?
Until our managers and coaches become more focused on actually coaching our players to improve we will struggle at European and International level!
Isn't it time we stopped the arrogance?

Ronaldo has scored double the amount of goals in Spain so I think that is a very good indicator towards the quality of the opposition and clearly they're shiiite! Messi wouldn't score half as many in the PL, La Liga is piiss poor!
------
This argument is lazy as there's so much evidence against the contrary, (Suarez's record at Barce is no worse than his final season record at Barce, Sanchez's record at Arsenal is just as good as his Barce record, Ighalo who was inconspicuous in Spain is suddenly most in form striker in the PL), as well as the obvious flaw in your comment that Ronaldo's record will ofc be worse at United given he went there at 18. In his best season, 07-08, he still averaged a goal a game pretty much.

Sevilla are a better team than Spurs
Interesting as clearly we are a nation who firmly believes our own hype
I've been to games all over and apart from Anfield the best atmospheres have generally been abroad. The Nou Camp is pretty amazing when full. Even Legia Warsaw was really good!
The blind assumption that we have a better league because we've got a bigger TV deal and Southampton trashed Arsenal is nonsense. Barca got thrashed by Athletic Bilbao...results do happen elsewhere!
Every top league has some top teams that dominate the trophies, however to give it another perspective in in the last 3 seasons La Liga has been won by 3 different teams...but the 'perception'is that its not competitive?

La Liga has better teams but the PL is by far more interesting to watch. Leicester City are top at Christmas FFS. Whereas in Spain it's same old, same old. Boring.

You are saying that because its happened occasionally like this season
This isn't the norm that proves the rule, its abnormal

Fact is the gap between the top and bottom of the PL has been getting smaller and smaller every year and this is the season where it's really been shown.
It's far easier to predict La Liga results than PL.

Short of predicting Barca or Madrid do you honestly think the other games are easier to predict than the PL?
I think we'll find its about the same situation

That's not true. It's much easier to predict. You only have to look at the bookie odds to see that. I barely ever bet on La Liga as it's not worthwhile.

No, its not
Bookies odds. You are clutching at some short straws but don't let that stop you
There's what 22 / 23 points between top and bottom, teams like La Coruna, Villarreal and Celta Vigo in CL contention
In the PL there is 30 points between top and bottom. I know this season there are surprises currently but its just one year. Our top teams always generally dominate the league and results are easy to predict

Having played 2 games less in La Liga the top 4 currently have lost 11 games, in the PL the top 4 have lost 13 games having played 8 more matches
Hardly compelling evidence of non-competitiveness

The top teams have fallen hard is all it is
No sane person would have predicted a loss (or even a draw) at Stamford Bridge in jose's first run
Going to OT meant a guaranteed 3 points to United for decades
For a stretch of years 'Fortress Anfield' was a real phenomenon
City not winning was an idiots bet in their better years recently
All that happened was the real talent ended up at Real, Barca, Bayern, PSG, Juve over recent years and the prem became a selling league again.
That's why we're rubbish in Europe this decade and formerly lower table sides aren't afraid to take the big names on. Because they're just names now without the talent.
