Watford away our Toughest game so far??

After two fantastic wins against Southampton and Norwich under our belt the team is brimming with confidence. Kane is on fire, Alli unplayable and the defence looking solid but are we about to play our toughest game of the season so far away at Watford this afternoon?

Yes we have played Arsenal and United away, Man city and Chelsea at home but playing at a small packed stadium, not the greatest pitch and facilities and very vocal fans this is a totally different proposition.

They are three points behind us in the table and have recently thrashed Liverpool and drew away at Chelsea, they have two strikers bang in form and Ighalo looks a real handful.

They are physical, well drilled, have pace and a decent defence and with Leicester have been the surprise package this season. They play 442 and are very direct but play some good football at times and make no mistake Alderweireld and Vertonghen will have their work cut out.

If we can win tomorrow and get a result at Goodison on Sunday then we can be taken seriously as title contenders let alone contenders for top four.

What do you guys think?

Would be so spursy for Gomes to have a blinder today!! Expecting a very close game, maybe only one goal in it..:

Toughest game so far was Chelsea........nothing to do with them but it was the 64 hours between walking off a pitch in the back of beyond and walking out at WHL

More worried about Capoue than Gomes. He's started to look like the player we bought, just shows what a run in the team can do.

It will be a close one, we will need to play better in the first 20 minutes than in the last couple of games...with Ighalo they have the ability to punish us otherwise

If Spurs are serious about this top four or higher malarkey then winning at Watford should be a given. Spurs have a lot tougher away games on the horizon, Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea, City, Stoke, West Ham etc. Hopefully the management is not as scared of Watford as a lot of our supporters seem to be. Happy with a point FFS Chronic.

Its not being scared, having a degree respect for the opposition is never a bad thing. Watford have had some decent results this year, to think they're just going to roll over when we turn up is ridiculous.

We ended up winning but with 10 men Watford did enough to deserve a draw! Anyway, our chances of finishing in the top four have increased so I'm pleased.

Tough game due to route one tactics from Watford and thuggish behaviour throughout.

Well done Spurs

Don't really see it as thuggish, it's a mans game and we just got outmuscled. I thought their pressing play in the first half was excellent at times, the only reason they went route one was they were down to 10 men and we struggle when the ball is pumped into the box.

That said, good result despite a lot of poor play from us. Our passing game was woeful at times but we still managed to get the result

Why is it our toughest game so far?

Sizzle is right

Watford blitzed the mouser Liverpool easily and got a draw against out of sorts Chelsea, and I think both results show how good a side they are

But if you let Watford play, they will tear into you

Therefore we need Dier and Mason/Dembele to be strong today.

It actually suits us to be away for this game

I can image it to be a tough first 20 minutes where defense and midfield will stifle each other, but they will feel edgy playing at home and having to dictate the pace

We can finish them off with sucker blows on counter attacks

Good day to be playing. Would've loved to be still involved

Yes, like I predicted YET AGAIN , sucker punch and bye bye Watford
