Our "Terrible Run" is over!

So 2015's fixtures come to a close and what a year it has been. Thoroughly enjoyable and apart from winning a trophy, without doubt my most enjoyable year supporting Leicester.

I developed my love for this club in the mid 80's having started going down in the 1979/80 season as a three year old. We won promotion that season but obviously I don't remember that. I suppose I was old enough during the Pleat years when we were absolutely shiiite.

The early 90's were great. My favourite years. I was 16 when we first got to Wembley and that game against Cambridge will always be my favourite. That feeling of knowing I was going to Wembley will take some beating.

Then MON worked his magic and brought us silverware and five top 10 finishes, they were our most successful and I didn't think we'd ever see a better Leicester side than;

Flowers
Taggart Walsh Elliot
Sinclair Guppy
Savage Lennon Izzet
Colleymore Heskey

This team is better in pretty much every department, though I'd have Flowers, and we play much better football. This team is like nothing I've ever witnessed. Our team spirit and belief is unbelievable and it is going to take us a lot further than people think. Everyone underestimates it but for me that's why we're joint top of the league. When we don't play well our team spirit, belief a d desire wins us points and that wont change in my opinion.

So our terrible run comes to an end and we won three, drew two and lost one. That's pretty much what i said except I thought we'd draw at Liverpool and lose to City but out of the two, I'm glad we lost to Liverpool because we're still 12 points and a better goal difference ahead <whistle. Well happy with that <smile>

Happy New Year everyone, cant wait for 2016

Scored more goals in the second half and last 10 mins than anyone else, this is largely due to being fitter and taking advantage when teams tire. Even against City we came on strong in the last 15-20 mins when we started winning the ball back quicker.

We play a different game to Spurs, they're high pressing so will cover more distance than sitting back and allowing teams to come on to us. But we still work very hard, high energy, closing teams down and in the second half we take advantage when they're knaxkered.

At the end of last season we ran rings around teams because we were fitter than everyone else and I fully expect to finish strongly this season too.

I'd have been happy at the start of the season with 4 or 5 points from the horror list of fixtures we've been thru recently . To get 11 is absolutely incredible. What a brill season.

Bournemouth (H)
Spurs (A)
Villa (A)
Stoke (H)
Liverpool (H)
City (A)
Arsenal (A)

Those are Leicester's next 7 fixtures, I think your terrible run is far from over. I would not be surprised if you pick up less than 10 points from those.

1 down. Probably gonna get battered by Spurs but hopefully not.
