Well this is a very odd feeling, writing a Predictions thread on the back of a victory! Assuming that is what actually happened and it wasn't a hallucination caused by the new meds nurse gave me. I'll ask her later.
Until then there is the small matter of the visit of Huddersfield to deal with. This will be the real test of whether we have turned a corner in our season. If we get a win Saturday and results go our way again we can get to within a point of safety whilst back-to-back wins can do nothing to harm the confidence of the players.
So expect Huddersfield to turn up and put 3 past us!!
Team News
Bolton could once again be without strike duo Shola Ameobi (groin) and Emile Heskey (hamstring).
Boss Neil Lennon can expect to have the same group of players as he had for the much-needed win over Blackburn.
Huddersfield have no new injury or suspension problems, although Ishmael Miller has a lower back injury.
Dean Whitehead (knee) remains out but Philip Billing is close to a return after being named as a substitute against QPR.
Predictions
Predicting a loss worked last time out so I'm going to say 0-1 Huddersfield, Wells with the lone strike.
Happy New Year Folks.

5 Lancashire Hot pots from me.
Nice thread.
Makes a change to comment on the opponent board this season, very quiet these days.
After that hard fought win v Rovers, Your lads confidence will (should) be much improved, I watched the game 'live' Darn Unda... I have to say, Great support from the crowd for a team struggling both on & off the pitch.
Me Personally, I Like to see ALL Pennine teams do well, And good luck for the rest of the season..But I'm hoping for a 'Town' win this aft'.
prediction. !
I honestly don't know.
We are not exactly 'flying high' ourselves, although I for one am more than happy with Wagner in charge.
Scannell should 'entertain' ! He's good to watch from a football aficionados perspective. Wells, they either fly in, or he has an off day.
Taking everything into account, I'll begrudgingly say the home crowd might just sway it...if they crank up the volume like they (you) did against Rovers.
A VERY close encounter.
If someone wins by a country mile.
I'm never going to comment ever again

Genuine question. With the winding up petition, do you think the club will survive. The debt is very high, has the club explained to the supporters what their plans are?
It's a sad situation when any football club 'flies too close to the sun'. Huddersfield Town came close to folding, it's a horrible experience.

LV it will all depend on whether or not we get taken over. Frankly I think administration is a certainty, voluntary or otherwise and survival beyond this month and season will depend on whether or not any of the alleged bidders for the club can prove they have the money necessary to run it from now till May.
Obviously that will smack us with a 12 pt penalty that will effectively guarantee relegation once and for all but I do feel that might not be a bad thing in the long term. Some of us were here in the 80's when we went all the way to div 4 and while it took a long time to climb back up the leagues it was some of the best and most exciting times to be a trotter.
The current situation is obviously more serious if you look at the numbers but I feel there is plenty of reason to hope in the long term provided we can find a buyer and E Davies keeps his word about writing off the money we owe him.

Cheers Lucky Peter, Town are linked with Zac Clough for a sum of £1.5M, is that a fair figure?
