In regards to G_B, can we have a dedicated pessimist on this board to bring some balance. Actually it seems like many people aren't optimistic about our chances against Stoke after today's performance.
As we're so inconsistent though, we'll now probably batter Stoke.

we need strikers for all our 'lightweight' flair players to be effective.

West Ham played with better players today.
===================================
They didnt though did they.
They played with players of overall lower quality than Liverpool, but fought harder, and wanted to win more.
Players and manager seemingly have little fight in them.

I know you were a BR fan but give it a rest. You constantly attacking will change nothing and he will be here for the coming years and will change the players who are not good enough. Those same weak physically and mentally players who were bought by your favourite manager BR.

This team needs to play possession/attacking play, it just so happens that our players can't play very well against an deep, organised defence.
------------------------
It is these deep, organised teams that we need to match up against. We need strong, composed, commanding midfielders and defenders to match up against them so they don't see it as so easy to grab a goal from a set piece against us and just play the rest of the game lining up two walls in front of their goal.
They clearly aim to nullify our attacking players, and playing three number 10's will never work against two brick walls if we don't try and do something to put gaps in those walls. Benteke just standing there and competing against 2 centre backs for 50/50's won't work, and unfortunately he just doesn't try enough to make room and pull the defenders out from their positions to create more space in behind.
To continue with 3 number 10's nehind Neteke will not work against these teams. The disappointing thing was to see Klopp try the same thing yet again and expect different results this time. He clearly has to change something, and hopefully he can start doing that in this window

Lucas and Can was never going to be enough in midfield.
It was so fecking predictable we would be bullied with Firmino Coutinho and Ibe all starting. We need to sign a new centre midfield who is going to be able to compete against the likes of West Ham.
Lucas is a poor player and is never going to be good enough.

Lucas is okay for suring up games we are already winning, problem is we seem to always concede first these days so he becomes a bit redundant.

It is unfortunate that Ings, Milner, Henderson are all injured, as well as Joe Gomez - all are very much Klopp type players.
reckon there should be an analysis of average wages made of the entire league (internally) with respective position in the league defining that weeks wages. Bonus for goals, distance run etc still to be made of course.
