A lot of rumours that City will pay a huge fee to bring Messi to City this summer. So much so that yesterday the odds on it happening went from 33/1 to 5/1.
There is a huge TV deal being implemented this summer. Pep is likely going to City and they've just signed that huge Chinese deal too.
Messi is a man who isn't poor but perhaps wants one last massive payday and his best friend Sergio Aguero plays there too.
Perhaps Barca also wanna cash in on Messi and make Neymar their new star player and build the side around him.
So if hypothetically speaking Messi (and Pep) do go to City this summer. What does that do to change the landscape of football in general. Does that make the PL step above La Liga in terms of glamour and importance? Will this elevate City from rich club to super club?

When will people learn? All these rumours come from people wanting new contracts. Messi probably wants a new deal on more money at barca. So his agent spreads some rumours about messi to city. Then messi signs a new deal as the fans and club get nervous about him leaving. So thing happens with Ronaldo. Everytime he wants more money he uses United to get it. Its predictable.
