Great game from Mikel. Started bad, progressed well as the game moved on. He gave good discipline to midfield and freedom for Cesc to go forward.

what game were you watching that Mikel started badly?

He gave away few fouls in the beginning and worried if he gets an yellow card. But after that no mistake from him.

I usually slate Mikel, as he is not very good very often, and when he did improve a while back I was happy.

However, he has to prove that he can do a job on a regular basis now, and stop passing the ball away.

Fair play if he had a good day though, and we won.

And those footie genius types who called Costa and Oscar rats............were they cheering today?

Great game from mikel, I think the best he's ever had IMO. The Munich run was more a "do a job" and he was solid. Today was something different, he actually influenced the game positively. Great performance

Don't know whose called them rats blue bell, but if they are suddenly performing wouldn't that kind of back up people's claims that they were rats? Just saying
