Mikel

I don't usually rate Mikel but he was very good today.

I do not want to see Matic for a few weeks, get Mikel in there... See how and if things keep improving and go from there

Team today with Pedro instead of Hazard for the next game. Don't care if it's Scunthorpe... Get a result and keep the positivity going

Nice to see him get some positive recognition for a change.

Can ill afford Willian and Costa(only fit CF) starting against Scunthorpe and incur injuries.
Fringe/youth players need to play next week Sunday.

I'm fed up with Mikel getting stick off people.

Mikel is one of the only players in our squad who will actually listen and stick to his instructions. He isn't asked to play defence splitting balls, he isn't asked to go on outlandish dribbles, he isn't asked to do anything other than be a calming influence on the team by breaking up attacking play and dispatching the ball quickly whether that's forwards, backwards or sideways.

People need to realise that he is an integral part of this team and great for morale. He has been here ten years, never complains and seems to be a decent guy. I wish we had more Mikels in our squad.

Was lucky to not get booked in the first half, which helped. But can't fault his performance, very steady, very good!

I read somewhere that Mikel started 16 of Hiddink's 23 games when in charge of Chelsea the first time - including the FA cup final. And of those 16 games we won 14 and drew 2. So Mikel has never lost under Hiddink.

I wish we had more Mikels in our squad.

Lol people are so ott, 10 years of adequate to poor performances < 3 good games. It's crazy talk. Reason why mikel hasn't got more praise is because he's been a poor player picking up near a 100,000k a week for 10 years
