Can you remember if the OP was one of the many claiming Ox was better than Walcott last season? I've noticed it's them that most of the sudden Ox slamming is coming from. As I said earlier, they all went bragging on Ox's behalf and him flopping at the moment is making them look really silly now so they've turned on him. Poor kid never said a word himself and they're on him like HE was on the boards biggin himself up

How is the goal v Newcastle neither an Ox goal or an Ox assist? His shot, looked on target, gets a small deflection off Coloccini and goes in.
Add to that assists in the cup win over Man Utd and the final itself. Plus a goal in the community shield.
And then consider he only made about 10 starts in 2015.
Suddenly the stat doesn't seem so awful.

It does when you put it next to Theo's in the same period.
Didn't you know DJ, the Ox is better than Theo and was going to keep Theo on the bench this season.
Or at least that's what they all had to say around Apr/May anyway

Well not really. Theo played a lot as a striker so will obviously have more chances to score.
Not really sure of your point, WB2 - other than some sort of misplaced peacocking.

I'm confident if he stays fit for extended period of time he'll hit good form. He usually does, only problem is that he gets injured everytime he makes any kind of progress. It's 2 steps forward 1 back for him. He has to get his fitness sorted to have a top career now.

To be fair to Downing, he has been better than the Ox for most of his career.
That's not to say the Ox can't turn things around big time.
