Doesn't get any better does it.
By all accounts Remi and players got dogs abuse today, both during and after the final whistle. Not sure this helps the situation, but its understandable.
If Remi's winless run continues vs Palace and Leicester I can't see how he can hold onto his job. For me, this would signal the time to act and relieve Remi of duties. Nothing personal against him, he seems a knowledgeable and nice guy, just a case of wrong club/wrong time.
Another bad decision by those in charge.
This would then be the signal to make an approach for Nigel Pearson.
There are rumours that the club are planning for the Championship and surely this includes who is going to be in the dug out next season.
Getting Pearson in before the end of this season may even galvanise and unite the club until the end of the season. It would also give him time to put together a side which can challenge in the top half of the Championship.
Nigel is a strong individual who knows how to organise a football club and this is just what we need. The Villa are on their knees presently, just as Leicester were when they dropped into League 1.
Lerner needs to act now and get Pearson, else I foresee more struggles ahead next season.
Demonstrations planned for Tuesday evening I hear.
Remi on his way?

If we shift the useless high earners like N'zogbia and Gabby, then the wage bill will be more manageable. So we can probably afford to pay the wages of Amavi & Co. Which means that if other clubs want them then we can demand decent money for them.
Newcastle when they were relegated managed to hang on to their better players. But then they didn't have an owner who was planning to go anywhere.

NZogbia on 65k a week is that true what I have been reading?

Garde may not have signed the players, but he keeps picking Richardson, Westwood and Bacuna.
And he took off Gil - who was Villas best player today - and, to gain confidence, he ought to have gone for the win and started with Ayew.
So he is making selection mistakes all over the place.
In short; he dont know what he's doing any more than Sherwood did.
Bring in Pearson seems a good shout to me. Should have signed Moyes back in October or whenever. It was obvious he was looking for a way out.

Yes Pearson for me, he'll demand passion and steel, if he doesn't get it from a player he'll get someone in who can. If he can then get Shakespeare and Walsh from Leicester as his backroom staff at some point in time that would be an added bonus.

I agree.
I don't think it would take too much convincing for Remi to leave. Watching him on the sidelines, he seems somewhat bewildered about what is going on. He doesn't seem very happy and no doubt there is little rapport between him and the team.
If Villa loses the FA Cup replay, then he may not be around for the next PL game.

You can't keep on putting out your best team game after game. After today we have Palace on Tuesday and Leicester on Saturday. Reckon the team today was a reasonable selection if Garde's aim was to keep some of our better players fresh for Tuesday. Yep Richardson is not much good, but you'd think he'd be OK against the basement clubs, and Westwood may not be the first name on every fan's team sheet but you don't expect him to be so daft to give away a totally needless penalty.
Likewise taking Gil off was probably with an eye for Tuesday; after all, Ayew and Veretout were reasonable replacements.
Bottom line is we're still in the cup, and we have some fresh legs for the Palace clash. Could be worse. Hope Richards is fit; he's not a perfect right back but he's at least as good as Hutton and was very lively going forwards.

Wrong, Baggieman….Tony Pulis has done it twice! It shows what a difference a decent manager can make. And there lies the lesson for Villa.

Would sack garde now and get pearson.
dont wanna go playing with fire like wolves did with solbakken.
