Does he really have 6 months left on his contract and can therefore sign a precontract with another club? I hope I'm wrong. While we all know he's very inconsistent and injured a lot, there's no doubting his talent. I've always thought of him as a great sub more than a first team player.

If he's allowed to go for nothing I think it will be a disaster! How has this been allowed to happen? Should have been tied up last season or sold. Get the finger oot Celtic FFS 😠

Is he over 24? if not you would still be owed compensation for his time at the club which i expect is a fair number of years.

I think some of you are being harsh. He's totally worth a new contract and I'll think we'll miss him if he goes. As I say I think he's a great sub to bring on but no doubt he hasn't totally fulfilled his potential.

I think he could be as good as McGeady was when he left for Russia and in my personal opinion is better than Maloney.

Just miffed if he goes for nothing that Celtic didnt sell him last season.

I like wee James, he can stretch defences and his fitness is better, not great but better than previously, he looks stronger and if he could get 10 games on the bounce I think we have a player there

Lot of ifs and buts there and he may never stay fit but rather than discuss him leaving how about him on one side and another proper winger on the tother? long overdue imo
