OK, now the dust has settled on

what I consider the worse four days of the season for Spurs, where do they go from here. As I said before the weekend game in the FA Cup, to rest players, and save them for Prem games is a complete nonsense and as proved once again, has been an unmitigated disaster. An exercise to prove that rotation simply does not work.

Spurs were on a high before the FA Cup game, and yes I know Leicester rested players, but I am not interested in them. Poch could have put out a really strong side, won the game, and put down a marker for the Prem game, kept the confidence levels high. Instead of that he handed the initative to Leicester on a plate.

He now has to try to lift the players for the Sunderland game, and I can see another disaster looming there, then he has to try to negotiate an even tougher, and what should have been a completely unnecessary fixture away to Leicester in the FA Cup. Not sure what team he will play there, but it has to be obvious that the squad players aint winning that game.

Let`s be honest, Leicester are a decent side, but their football is awful, and they had not scored a prem goal for three games, and Spurs handed them their victory on a plate. Same with Newcastle, who have not won a game since they won at WHL.

I have to say some of the personnel Poch has played in the past few days baffles me. Why is he persisting with the very lightweight Carroll? Last night was crying out for a bit of muscle in the middle. Son is about as disappointing as they come, making absolutely no influence on the team. Walker was back to his worse last night, although I thought Davies had a good game. And surely Poch should have tried a bit of like for like tactics as Ranieri, a few long balls behind their defence. Leicester kicked long all day, and it unsettled Spurs.

Finally, I did not see one player who really looked like he wanted to bust a gut last night to get the win, and that is probably the most annoying thing of all.

This is why you're known as a fickle fan

On Dembele I also wanted him on earlier but once he came on he was rubbish. His touch was so bad that he was a wasted sub.

I'm more inclined to blame the players than the manager last night. We had plenty of chances and 2 very easy ones that we should of tucked away.

As my very very very good friend sizzle says " we go again "

I agree, momentum is key. If you only make 2/3 changes you can still rotate players, get fringe players some minutes and keep people fresh. But you also keep the same spirit, style and discipline to the team.

Although some of this must go down to Levy's reluctance to buy another striker

You will not get top 4. Your team lacks goals and general talent.

Sadly after the past four days, I think I agree with you.

Well said. You are more sensible than most then.

I am not fickle at all, if anything I have been just about the most loyal Spurs supporter in the country, after watching my team for nearly 60 years. I give an opinion as I see it. I along with Sizzle think that momentum goes a long way towards how successful teams are. And as has been proved yet again, resting players and saving them for prem games is a complete disaster, so WTF do you think it is still a good idea?

I will still be supporting Spurs until I peg it, I doubt some on the boards will.

Whoever it was that was crowing about having the best defensive partnership in the prem must have put the mockers them,as the defending for that goal last night was diabolical.

Lamela I thought chased every ball and gave his all. Even if he did miss our best chance of the game
