for the rest of the season we wouldnt be in this position...................Remi's words with the same team and Tim on Sky..........ouch
We were unlucky too but some poor results elsewhere.
Lets keep fighting like Lions you never know.
If we'd played like that.......

Agree and disagree. Yes the effort last night was commendable but we still never really looked liked scoring and again created few clear chances which sums up the season. There is no way we are going to stay up because we simply dont score enough goals or create enough good chances. Our general play lately has been quite good but there is a distinct lack of quality in the team. How many of our players would get in other premiership teams ?? Ayew, maybe Gil on a good day and Perhaps Grealish when he can be bothered. That shows what a poor ream we are.

I hold little or no hope of us staying up DLO it was more what Remi said and with the previous manager listening live.

We were playing against the side with the best away defensive record in the PL, so the actual result was decent. That performance was of a decent mid-table team; we need more than that, which means signings.
We all wondered if Kozak was the answer, I think it's now clear he's not. Too light weight. He doesn't make life difficult for defenses enough. OK he's coming back from a long lay-off, but he's a fair way to go to be a real threat. Having said that he should have had a penalty, but I reckon the ref saw it just as the usual battle between central defender and centre forward. Gestede worked the defence harder, but maybe he's best as an impact sub.
We need somebody sharp to work alongside Ayew. Add that to yesterday's performance and we'd go up a gear.
Nice to hear Tim on our side.

It was a good performance as was the game against Crystal Palace. It looks like Garde finally has them playing with some pride and passion.
I doubt it will help much now this season in terms of relgation. I'm 95% sure Villa are down.
But at least the fans can enjoy going if the team are going to play like that. And enjoyment - really - matters more than promotion or relegation.

I think some MU fans might agree with you there...
Well, maybe not the promotion and relegation bit, but if they're going to end up a mid-table team they might at least be able to enjoy the game. Pulis could have them defending better that van Gaal and be more adventurous.
