Our hopes of getting top four in the League do look out of reach, but that doesn't write us off for the season. We still have three cups to play for, and could gain Champions League football still!
Under Klopp we have looked great in the big games, and even today we were far the better side. Nothing bigger than a cup game. To do this however, we do need to add to the squad this window. The amount of games we are playing is just too much for the lads, and it reminds me very much of Rodger's first season in charge. Too many games, and a very hard season. However, we did go on to nearly win the title next year!
So let's stay positive and get ourself into the League Cup final, and remember there's more than one way of getting into the Champions League.

I agree the season is far from over but I can't really see us winning the Europa, too many other good teams in it and we have too many weaknesses.
I am hopeful for both domestic cups though.
It's important we don't let the league slip away to an unacceptable finish. We need to keep fighting to try and get a top 6 spot.

Cups are still a high risk strategy. If Man City get to final along with us then they will be clear favourites. Our 4-1 drubbing at Eithad is a thing of the past.
All the best sides are still in FA cup and we have our new bogey side West Ham next after Exeter.
Europa league like R1 said is full of good teams and this is probably our least likely route to silverware.
We need to focus on the league and look to top 6 minimum. Anything below should be considered a failure even for Klopp.

Augsburg will beat us in the Europa and we'll lose the final of the League Cup. Creating so many chances and missing them all, even when we do score it's only 1 and you can't trust our defence to keep a clean sheet. Just give the opposition a corner and they'll score - header, shot, own goal or strait in! Take your pick.

Get Origi and couts back and that helps us massively, studge seems to be a write of. I hope we buy a striker in this window, if we get that in order we will win games.

You assume that you will first get to the final and then not have enough to beat City(favourites)or Everton over 90-120 minutes?

As a side remark, I don't cherry pick anything.
