Well done Leicester
They've done unbelievably well this season. Joint top on goal difference with a squad with a low budget. It's looking likely they'll now finish in the top 4 (though not guaranteed) which would be extraordinary. Hats off to them.
But it would be nice if people would stop regurgitating this myth that Leicester play good football. They really don't.
-3rd lowest possession in the league behind a Tony Pulis' West Brom and Sam Allardyce's Sunderland
-lowest passing completion rate in the league
These particular statistics are what you expect from the aforementioned West Brom and Sunderland. And teams who are battling relegation, fighting to stay up using hoofball tactics.
And 'hoofball tactics' would be the correct terminology to describe the playing style of this Leicester team. Park the bus all game and hoof for Vardy to chase. This is no bad thing. But call a spade a spade
Are Leicester an extremely effective team? Yes. 100%
Are Leicester are good 'footballing' side? No. Clearly.
Will Leicester succeed long-term using this style? Unlikely. No team has done it before at this level of the league. In Europe especially being unable to retain possession is a nightmare.
As long as Spurs retain concentration on set pieces tonight, and when one of their CBs is about to hoof it forward, we should hopefully get the job done.

Vertonghen is the latest Spurs fan to miss the point. It's not about wumming so-called big clubs, it's about hearing it for clubs who are joint top of the Premier League on merit. If you want to belittle their efforts, you carry on.
When you think about it, two League Cups in 24 seasonsl for a club of Spurs' money is hugely under-achieving.

"While I have nothing against Leicester, let's remember that they have spent more time outside the PL than in it, were relegated to Div 1 (twice) ...."

How rude! We've only been relegated to the third tier once in our history - and for one season.
