The Dortmund TC seems to be what a TC should be - a group of people all working together towards a common goal.
With our lot we automatically start with a manager's list and a TC list - and then on the TC list are players that are purely there on stats, the fact they are undervalued, and their potential for future value growth.
I just want a system where a DoF works with Klopp and HIS own personal group of confidents - and together they buy players they want.
I have no problem whatsoever with Ian Ayre continuing to work on the business side of the club. He's done a fine job in that regard. He shouldn't have anything to do with a transfer committee, let alone transfer negotiations etc. This is the job of a proper, experienced DoF.
Mikes Gordon and Edwards are the 'moneyballers'. The ones who follow the baseball stats and try and replicate them for footballers. They have no experience as far as I know with football, footballers, or transfers. Furthermore, one of Edwards' jobs is to email analysis and data after every game to the club's owners in America, detailing where the match was won and lost. WTF? Talk about a conflict of interests!
There are people in our system in very significant positions of power, who know F-All about football. The committee structure allows them to hide within it and avoid any direct criticism.
They are on their 4th manager, yet the TC remains.
5 years of trying to implement their 'moneyball' ideas, and there is no sign of it working.
55 players in, 59 out. 122m net spend in that time - and that includes banking the 75m for Suarez and 49m for Sterling.
That's right - we've sold 124m of our best talent and we have still got a net spend of 122m over the last 5 years...using a TC that champions 'moneyball'.
Just give Klopp the best environment to do his job properly. Give him the best opportunity to succeed.
DOF INSTEAD OF TC

Fair point but TC appears to be untouchable.

I couldn't agree more. Something is horribly wrong with our player recruitment process.
A lack of transparency just makes the process look worse to the supporters.
FSG have been fantastic at generating cash, but have been absolute pillocks in managing how the money is spent on players for the team.
Hopefully Klopp can rectify our appalling record in the transfer market under them so far

They are on their 4th manager is being disingenuous don't you think?
Hodgson wasn't their pick, and Kenny wasn't going to be a long term appointment.
Rodgers was, and was traded up for Klopp, so as far as I'm concerned they're on their second manager.
