Poor night in every way.--bbc

Bad night for us all round , big trouble getting into ground, poor performance all round, and very bad coverage fromBBC.
Why all shots of crowd and dug outs, when play is happening?
Very poor commentary by Jonathon Pearce, inane drivel.
Wanted to get radio 5 commentary but wont listen to David " i signed him as a boy" Pleat.
Overall a very disappointing night, and dreadful coverage by BBC.
Hard to say but ref was ok, although we were only playing having been cheated by previous ref.
Saturday is must win now.

Nah BT is better, at least the camera is on the game the whole time (and they use the little box for anything else). I must have spent at least half the match looking for Chronic in the away support...

Overall thorny, I agree it was a poor night. As has been discussed on another thread, our current form is a significant worry and it is clear that fresh impetus is much needed (in the shape of a striker who can hopefully relieve the reliance on Vardy and give Ulloa some time out to decide if he actually wants to be a Premier League player).

However, to provide some balance and perspective after last night, I have to say that Demarai Gray and, more specifically, Ben Chilwell, were both excellent. Chilwell I felt handled the occasion very well and drove forward impressively. Lots of development needed of course, but is a tremendous understudy to Fuchs and a great talent for the future. Let's hope we can get him tied down to along term deal sooner rather than later.

Perhaps should have posted my comment on your player ratings thread Dunge - really must learn to read all the articles before posting!

On Chilwell, I was happy with his performance last night but I think he's still learning his craft. His tenacity is excellent to see and it was good to see him attacking the Spurs players as the game went on, showing them less and less respect along the way. However, he did get caught out positionally at times and I feared for some time in the first half that a cross from the Spurs left would be met with a free-ish back post header because Chilwell wasn't sure what to do about them. Indeed, Spurs got one great chance that they spurned this way because the scored; Schmeichel had a polite word with Chilwell to instruct him that he needed to at least get in the attacker's way more, and he was right.

Still, he certainly has time on his side to get accustomed to this.

Chilwell looks a prospect, but exactly that. He's raw and still has a lot to learn but his potential is massive.

Same goes for Gray although he looks a little bit more ready to be at least involved.

Fuchs is an amazing player for Chilwell to develop under.
