We have great depth at striker already. We are just suffering with injuries also this great stat was posted yesterday:

When playing as a striker firmino has scored 5 and has 4 assists in 6 games, the team has scored 15 goals in those games, in the other 17 league games we have scored just 19 goals.

So why do we need another striker when it's getting the best out of Bobby, Sturridge seems close to a return and we have Ings and origi to return with benteke as a plan B at the moment.

It would seem if you want to improve our attack we need more goals from the positions behind the striker (where tex2 plays) and has been so clinical recently.

Our creativity is woeful if coutinho has an offday, and lallana/milner are squad players at best, capable of changing games from the bench

Tex2 is hopefully an upgrade on those two who will help with both the creative burden of coutinho and the goalscoring burden of the strikers!

yeah I saw those stats and if teixeira is for that position and can adapt quickly, this may be the diff between us achieving something this season or not. atm I have no confidence in us getting past stoke or west ham in the cups, as we don't know which performance we r going to get from one game to another. it does seem we are trying to score more than we concede atm as klopp has no time to work on our defence between games.
so this guy maybe hat we need as we cant wait until origi and ings to return and our sun will go supanova before studge regains full fitness for half a season

question still remains; what position does he actually play? skill set does he have? will he fit in, if we got him?

GB talking out of his arris again.

He doesn't have the potential to be world class, if he was going to be he would have reached it now- he's 26.

He is a player at the peak of his career, a complete forward with a brilliant goalscoring record that suits the system we want to play. We have a squad full of young attacking players so somebody with experience will help them.

A tough deal to get done though, reports saying Shaktar are digging their heels in for close to £38m and there's no way we will pay that. You'd make Chelsea favourites as they will pay more than us but it's unclear whether they want him. I can see him staying until the summer before moving personally.

if hes good we should buy him, if not then we shouldnt. i dont see any reason to overcomplicate matters.
