The 2016 Royal Rumble will be the first in its 28-year history that the WWE World Heavyweight championship will be defended in the 30-man over-the-top-rope itself, with Vince McMahon set to punish current title-holder Roman Reigns for his recent attacks on the WWE chairman.

As if facing 29 other men for his title wasn’t hard enough, Reigns will enter the ring first after being drawn out of a rigged tombola to decide who would start of this year’s Rumble – once again held by Vince and Stephanie McMahon.

The Rumble has grown into one of the pinnacle events of the WWE calendar, and signals the start of the Road to WrestleMania where under normal circumstances the Rumble winner meets the WWE World Heavyweight champion in the main event.

But with Reigns entered into the Rumble itself this year, the 2016 edition is set to be an historic event.

What time does it start?

For viewers in the United Kingdom, the Royal Rumble begins at 1am on Monday morning and will run to around 4am, so you better be prepared for a late one.

Where can I watch it?

The Royal Rumble will be available on Sky Sports Box Office for the price of £19.95 (€24.95 for viewers in the Republic of Ireland) and will also be live on the WWE Network.
