Than all our players, In fact include most players in the league bar one or 2 which in itself is debatable? This guy is a reject from Barcelona. He comes on from a 2 month layoff and is immediately the best player on the field. His ability to carry the ball, his passing which happened to be his weakest attribute was on point.Everything about his game just clicked.
I know Hazard came on but all he did was foul and look lost like he has all season. The only player close to Sanchez is Aguero and looking at his injuries someone could rightly argue Sanchez is the better player at the moment. And I say it again, the guy is a Barca reject who cost 30 million pounds.????
How does that work????? When Sterling costs 49 million, Debruyn 50 million why is there such a huge gap in terms of quality between the best 5 players in this league and the rest.
And we wonder why the laliga teams are way superior to the english teams.
Theo and Ramsey let me down badly. This is another example where Wengers faith in players(which is admirable) but is the main reason for his lack of success in the last 10 years. They failed to do the SIMPLE things.The SIMPLE things, pass the ball, keep the ball, keep things moving.Just the simple stuff that Cambell can even do.
I still have faith we can win the league this season as we will grind it out and we have more bottle than City but lets stop pretending certain players are good enough when they are not. Theo and Ramsey are simply not good enough to command starting places in this team.
Can Wenger admit this is another of a long line of players he misplaced trust in just like

Seriously Wenger for all your genius, stick to the basics. Its either a player is good enough or not. Stop trying to reinvent the game like Rodgers and buy good players like Sanchez.
Its amazing the standard of players we have in this league.

Think I'm one of the very few Arsenal fans that still like Cesc, but didn't think he was as good as everyone has been saying, just given way too much space by an invisible Ramse and marauding Flamini
Still miles and miles behind the player that left Arsenal years ago, he's so conservative in his passing, just always looks for the safe option regardless if there is an opening it seems

Bit unfair on Hazard but Sanchez was just unlucky to be in the middle of politics at Barça. Neymar was the player the sponsors and directors wanted and we got good money for Alexis - who was one of my favourite players - so he was sold.

I disagree. On Canal +, they put up his stats and he had more touches and passes than any other player on the field and the map they put up showed he passed the ball very effectively. Another player who was unlucky at Barça - Guardiola bought him to eventually replace Xavi but once Guardiola left, we just played him out of position and complained he didn't score. Then we buy the inferior Raktic. Typical Barça!

Agree with you about the Barca situation, was surprised you let him to go to be honest.
But on the other point, not sure what you are classing as passing effectively? Just took a couple of touches and passed it sideways or backwards, and while that sort of tihng looks great in stats, it didn't achieve anything.
The Cesc in his Arsenal days had probably lower pass success but created an incredible amount of chances, even when supplying dross like Adebayor and Bendtner

Cesc was quite good. Haven't seen him dictate a game like that since he left Arsenal. When he plays like he did yesterday there really isn't a midfielder better in world football. Fortunately he seems to have lost the ability to do it consistently.
Alexis came on like he never missed a game. No wonder the player for energised after his introduction too. He's got a real warrior mentality

It's sad that the tribal nature of football is such that it seems people are unable to express an opinion which maybe anti their own club. It happens here too. It's stupid! Cesc was the best player on the pitch yesterday and found space, opened play, spread the ball wide and should have had a penalty. Effective passing on the maps they show on Canal + means passes that open play, leading to touches inside the opposition box or finding space/players beyond the defence.
When Chelsea decided to sit back in the second half, it allowed Arsenal back into the game and made for an enthralling game but with very little quality which is why Costa, Fabregas and Willian stood out for much of the match as did Sanchez when he came on. In reality, Chelsea were threatened on just three occasions.
