Burnley away on a work day. No chance of going, no wish to go. As they say 'hope springs eternal' as the Faithful will an end to this wretched run.
It has been poor with a team that is packed with talent but has not really produced. We still seem to be favourites for promotion but that is from those that just see the results and not the performances.
Formations come, formations go, 4-4-2, 4-1-2-3, 4-3-3, 4-2-2-2..........whatever.......just put the ball in the net without trying to walk it in.......frustrating? Yes!
Talking of settled teams, the Throaty One is set to name the same team for 5th consecutive game v Derby. I'm sure we had a settled team at one time but maybe I'm imagining it......😡
Oh and just to cheer you up big time, Burnley have not lost in any of their last 11 fixtures with The Rams, winning 8 of them. However we are the most accurate passers in the Championship with 79.3%..........mostly in the middle third ...

The fact is, teamwork and team spirit are more significant than individual superiority, within the confines of our various player abilities. It's how we work together rather than one or two primas.

I'm not sure we're playing well enough to play with ten men voluntarily, Mapdini.

Jorvik and Wicklow,
No need to worry, on this form we will not get to the PL.
I think Martin has lost his way and needs a few games in the under 23's
What is the point in paying Darren Bent if we can't play him when we need an effective striker. Martin has been given a good chance. It's now time to give Bent and/or Blackman an opportunity to become goalscorers.

While of course different personnel will make some difference, I can't help thinking that whatever this malaise is, it won't change with a few new faces on the pitch. Would love to see Bent get a decent shot to prove himself one way or another, maybe Clement thinks he already has, but unless there is a few goalmouth scrambles or suitable tactics, that he can likely profit from, he will fair no better.
Am not worried (been here too many times) I think we will come good before long, but it is disappointing given the investment that we are no better than we are at the moment.

I guess if Derby County "not getting to the Prem" is collectively our biggest worry, we all live rather comfortable lives?
