Couple of years ago or so, there was this big thing about British core. Jenkinson, Ramsey, Gibbs, Wilshere, Walcott and the Ox. These guys were who Wenger intended to build the team around after seeing the success of Barca and Bayern down to players who have either been fans of clubs or are of the same nationality. In fact if you look at various successful teams they all have one thing in common, group of youth or atleast players from the same country as the club.
But Jenkinson has been on loan, got injured, which could spell the end of his Arsenal career. Ramsey has been a major disappointment, not kicking on from that 13/14 season. Gibbs has probably been the most reliable out of the lot this season. He's been used as a squad player and hasn't moaned about it and also no more injuries. Wilshere, less said about him the better. If anything he's trying to emulate Diaby. Walcott, hands down the biggest disappointment of the lot. Wenger invested 10 years in him. Sure he's been unlucky with injuries, but that doesn't explain why he hasn't improved one bit technically. Ox, one could argue he's the most talented of the lot. But again he hasn't improved much since he joined. I think fans in general hold the most hope of him, or did anyway.
These boys really have to step it up to repay back the faith Wenger has shown, and if Arsenal are to success for years to come. But I think this has failed so far. They are still young, but for a club like Arsenal you cannot wait forever

It is all wenger's fault....

Easy to blame Wenger, but a very weak argument. He's given all of those players a chance, something young players don't get. Ultimately it's down to the players to take it and they haven't. Ramsey instincts haven't been ruined either. He's just gone chit

This is surely a joke?
We've won the FA cup the last two years and have a decent shout at the title this year! We've had some poor results, but who hasn't!?! Both Chelsea games we've been mugged royally by Costa.
You'd be doing very well to get 6/6 world-beaters!
As for the Ramsey bashing

Wenger is to soft with his players therefore they can do what they like when they like that's why we haven won shiittee in years and won't untill wenger says man up and put in a shift or your out.

Wenger changed way too much to accommodate Ramsey after his great season, tried to give him a greater platform to score goals and it ruined Ramsey's instincts."
Peeses me off when I see people peddle this horsesheet. Mainly by Inventor and I am gooner
"A midfielder is a guy who defends well, makes the other players play - focus on that," Wenger told a news conference.
"I think you have to be guided not by what people say, but the way you want to play and the (way the) game should be played.
"When you score a goal but have a disastrous game, people say you have been great.
"As a midfielder you have to keep the priorities right. Defend well, attack well and give good balls to other players. That's basically what the game is about.
"It's not about goalscoring -- goalscoring is a consequence of playing well, so focus on playing well."
Ramsey is a selfish goal obsessed idiot because of no one but himself.

Wenger then repeated the same thing some months after that and what followed was Ramsey being banished to the right hand side until we got a midfield crisis this season due to injury.

The big difference between our crop of British youngsters and the players who graduated from Barca's academy is talent - there's simply no comparison and you'd be pretty deluded to think otherwise.
