Could this be the one?

It's all about how you manage and make the most of your resources the hotel ground academy we have a long list it just needs the right people managing the right area's around the footballing bit. It's all been a shambles for a long time it needs a massive overhaul and change of attitudes to turn it around that will of course take money.

De Vere Hotels have been a reasonable player in the Hotel and leisure industry for many years. In fact I used to deal with them. They were and may well be still based in Warrington.

They pulled out and you have to ask the question why.
I believe they pulled out because it didn't generate enough profit.

I honestly think that it will never make sufficient profit to make any meaningful difference to BWFC. Of course I could be wrong so if the hotel is retained under possible new management, we will have to wait and see. I like everyone else who cares for the clubs fortunes, sincerely hope that you are right.

You see SWIE it wasn't a true De Vere Hotel they wouldn't have built one there at the time it was an Eddie special partnership deal what the detail in that was could be interesting it must have been strange as it turned around and subsequently made money after the deal was ended. The club is full of these strange deals and conditions all geared to paying the master even if there is no money made fees rental and loan payments are chalked up as owing hence the millions of debt when you add in all the other areas around the club.

Hasn't Iles done a special pull-out section of all these dealings.
I know don't tell me he actually believed all the debt which wasn't real was owed to Ed

Marc has been full of the latest news today over at the Beano telling us what we discussed the other day Mr Ed has done an about turn and took another strange long term punt on the car park deal at least it removes Brett from the creditors list which is all that maters at this moment in time isn't it. We've 15 days to gather the beans to pay the tax man no need to hurry it's transfer deadline day tomorrow the sales will cover everything that is required.
I'll be Messi spotting tomorrow from TB5 I expect a new billionaire to be owner by lunchtime leaving a full afternoon free for news of a new incoming football manager and a stream of star players.

As far as i am aware the hotels never really been much of a gain, thought it was a strange one at the beginning. Maybe it contributes to the overhead, but its never seemed to be commercially viable for.all the reasons swie mentioned. Tbh tho.swie i wouldnt underestimate the power of the surrounding businesses. We have seen middlebrook go from strength to strength, and there not tiny companies that surround it, eon, keoghs, watsons steel. Big players. Holiday inn have one near scotts and i assume that must be viable?

Regards this billionaire business.....im a little concerned. Uve gotta ask urself. If u werent a fan. Would u put ur hard earned cash into elite football...... Do wonder what there motives are. Certainly cant be a quick buck. Southampton look a good model to follow. Slow and low key build. Hit big time and spent some.money. U never know what we could be sayi g in 5-10 years time.

We do still have to pay back £189M it would only be removed as a gesture of good will to a buyer of all Ed's shares provided they meet with his approval.

As for the billionaire I'll take my chances with him he'll have his reasons for wanting to buy us. I wouldn't fancy our chances if the courts let us of falling lucky again in the changing climate of football with managers and players to build it all back up again like last time.

The ST and Deano efforts might as well filed in the cabinet with Knightons bid for that club down the road under J for jokes or T for Tyre Kickers

Hi Guys. I've not been able to get on the forum properly for some time as first my adls wasn't working and the provider couldn't find the fault. More recently my laptop has been playing up so last night I reconfigured it. Hopefully that will be the end of my problems for a while.

Well no news on any of the take over bids so we are still in the position of wait and see. There was some good news regarding transfers out on deadline day. None of the players we really wanted to stay at the club have left.

Let's hope that we can look forward to some more good news before long. The clock is ticking.
