I wouldnt think so because of the wages he would want.
Having said that, if he wants ten grand a week a week and has no job, is it better to have a job but "only" get five grand a week?
I think he will stick it out and see if his agent can get him the big money.

With the effort I've seen from James Beattie, we would be better off with Warren Beattie. He seems to think football owes him a living because of who he is, I think that's why he's available, no one will touch him.

From what Seth Bennett was saying last week Beattie may not be a free agent as he was attached to a club on the 1st July - he may have to wait until January to be classed as such

Anyway given the fact he was on about £37,000 a week at the Blades even with a considerable drop in wages he'll want too much for us

According to Dannuy Wilson the Blades are looking at offering him terms, IF he gets fit. He has said that he ( Beattie) is not fit after being released by Rangers. I doubt the Blades will be offering him anywhere near 37,000, but whatever the Blades offer him will be more than we would. He has always , in my opinion, been paid far more than he has been worth.
