Press conference

Here are highlights from Arsenal's press conference today.

Wenger confirms Rosicky injury
We reported yesterday that Tomas Rosicky could miss up to SIX WEEKS with a fresh injury blow.
Wenger confirms that the Czech did pick up a knock in the win over Burnley.
“Everyone who played is available," he says.
“The only problem is Rosicky picked up an injury.
“It is a thigh problem. We don’t now how deep the problem is but he will have a scan."

Debuchy exit unlikely
French defender Mathieu Debuchy has been linked with a loan move away from the club.
Aston Villa have been tipped to offer him first-team football in the Premier League.
But Wenger suggests that move is unlikely to go through today.
“At the moment it doesn’t look like it, but it’s a possibility," he says.
But any deal will only be a loan, he says: “It’s impossible to do permanent deal now."

Jack Wilshere injury update
Wenger is asked whether Jack Wilshere has suffered a new injury setback.
“That’s wrong information," says the Frenchman.
“He’s looking quite positive. I spoke to Roy Hodgson and he’s progressing well.
“He will be back in four weeks."

Wenger rules out Terry move
Wenger is asked whether he could make a move for John Terry this month.
The defender is going to be on the move in the summer, but Arsenal will not go in for him, says the manager.
“If he plays longer, it will be for Chelsea," he says.
“Great player. And a great coach on the pitch. He has had a great career."

Wenger refuses to rule out a late deal
Arsenal look unlikely to do business today, but Wenger will not rule it out entirely, saying he is “99 per cent sure" there will be no late deal.
“You can’t be 100 per cent sure," he adds.
“If Messi knocks on my door at 5.50pm, you never know..."

Wenger expects Gnabry to leave
Wenger says Serge Gnabry is likely to head out on loan today.
The winger was at West Brom but returned early after getting little game time.
“He is likely to go out to the Championship," says Wenger.
“It is between two clubs."

Apparently United interested in Debuchy

Would be typical of Wenger to allow him to go there

Not sure on Dubuchy as we havent even played him at all so if he does get a game he will look awful.

The way Debuchy has been going on in the press, there's an argument to be had that simply getting him out the door will strengthen the squad.

Had such high hopes, (well at least thought he'd be a solid signing) for him at Arsenal. I know he's been unlucky with the timing of his injuries, but he had looked bloody awful when he's played this season.

I would rather see Chambers used as back up to Bellers to be honest.

The only time I want to see Chambers & "Back Up" in the same sentence is some kind of freak lorry accident

Debuchy leaving on loan without bringing in cover will leave us short.
Hope Wenger knows what he is doing!

Wenger hasnt know what he's been doing for years cos if he did he never would have sold RVP Nasri Ade Clichy Cole to our rivals.
