Don't know whether any other fans have heard one fellow Villa fan on local radio expressing deep concerns to the future with Mr Hollis in charge.
He went on to stress his concerns that Mr Hollis, a liquidator by trade and a self-confessed non-footballing man, has been brought in by Mr Lerner to oversee the sale off assets (Villa Park and Bodymoor Heath).
Do you think there is anything in this?
Deep concerns

As soon as Hollis showed up, I said he was bad news. Another Thatcherite sort that think all management deserve more money and all the workers deserve the sack.
In short he was a dismal, hatchet sort of appointment for the Villa. The sort of clown that just cuts, cuts and cuts again.

Hollis looks like he's had too many lunches and wine on ;expenses'.
Yep all we need is Randy's teenage spoilt brat given a board position to complete the double whammy

Hollis is a beancounter, so he's come in to control/reduce costs and sort out the club ready for any sale. So that everything is 'tidy' for any prospective due diligence.
If you look at Villa as a club, you can't really sell Villa Park (just check out the area, there is plenty of brownfield sites in that area, so redevelopment into housing / business use is not worthwhile, + the area can generally be described as a 'dump', same goes for the training ground. Villa's main saleable assets have been sold (benteke, young, milner etc over the years). Whats left is actually not worth big bucks.
The doomsday scenario that I see is that if Villa don't get back up at the end of next season, the continued lack of investment will make it even harder to come back up (like Leeds, Blackburn etc). Of all the seasons to go down, this is really the worst ever, with the new deal coming in next season.

I'm convinced that Hollis is making this worse. OK the player recruitment over the summer wasn't brilliant, especially because it didn't give the attack any serious teeth, but I think you can say Fox, Reilly & Co were trying their best in a difficult situation, even if it could/should have been better. If Hollis wasn't there then I think we'd have got somebody in in the transfer window to improve the squad.
Hollis clearly doesn't understand how football works. You have to improve when you can, and that means using the transfer window. Even if we are relegated, anything which helps Remi and the team now will put us in a better state for next year, even if we're relegated. Strikes me that Hollis has simply written off this year, and may not spend any money next year either.

What's this about Lerner's son joining the board?

There's a rumour that Lerner's 18 year old son will join the board to represent Lerner.

Maybe sell it all off for something useful, like an Aldi for instance?
