Was just looking at the Scottish tables http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/scottish-premiership/table and it raised a question about expectations for next year (assuming we do go up this year - I know that is not a given, but if we were to make that not unreasonable assertion).
If this time next year Rangers were in the position that Hearts are in just now (including their position relative to the other teams, not just in 3rd), how happy would you be?
I would have to say that I would not be too unhappy. I think we should be careful about setting our expectations too high. It would be nice to be higher, it would be nice to be closer to Celtic, but next year has got to be a year of consolidation if, as I hope, we do go up.
What do you guys think?

Smid there were 3 big hitters last year.
Points distributed less widely.
This year 2.
There are only a fixed number of points to be won in a campaign.
Will be interesting next season.
Assuming the Sheep are performing there could be 5 big hitters taking points off each other in the top flight next year.
Both Gers and Hobos will come up IMO.

I suspect Rangers in the top flight will be a bit like Celtic in Europe.
I know we wind each other up about Falkirk and Rossco.
Not enough week in week out challenges take their toll.
Lazy and complacent players become even more so.
Sure as fvk will be interesting.

SPR you're correct.
But there are more points kicking around this year.
Last year they were split 3 ways at the top.
